Vinyl and Film and Rocky Horror!

Just arrived!  The last bit of film with the image of Dr Frank-N-Furter is now here. We can find no more. We worked day and night in our laboratory using the salvaged body from Tipton Eyeworks Vinylze sunglass  collection  and stitched it together with the 'arm' and 'leg' of  Tipton's Cinematique collection.  We dug up this rare strip of film featuring Dr Frank-N-Furter for one temple and the image of Riff Raff and Magenta on the other.  Together they make a truly one of a kind Creation.  Behold!  The Rocky Horror Tipton Hybrid!

Vinyl and Film and Rock n Roll

Just in.  New Vinylize / Cinematique hybrid  frames and sunglasses from Tipton Eyeworks.  After selling out our first order, eight new frames have arrived from Hungary and we're busy putting in the 35 mm film of iconic rock n roll stars.  The first three are Elvis, The Beatles and Springsteen.  Soon to come Hendrix, The Clash, U2 and The Police.  We are in the process of acquiring footage of  The Beatles at Shea Stadium.  Beautiful frames, top quality and one of a kind designs. Check out the photos.

Just in.  Amazing new rimless eyewear from Yabi-Spirit.  German made stainless steel and only 300 per color sold.  This small frame company located less than a 100 miles from the French border is well known for their whimsical designs and rich colors.

 Trendsetting designers put them on their runways in Spring of 2009 and celebrities started wearing them shortly after according to Deirdre Carroll of Vision Monday.  Now we mere mortals have finaly caught on and circular sunnies are being snaped up by all for Summer 2010.  !!Trend Flash!!   Look for round prescription eyewear coming in the fall of 2010.

Buster turned 8 yrs old this month.  By his prominent place daily in our front window, our store mascot has been a magnet for drawing people inside since he was a puppy.  Many a time a person or group came in to tell us they thought he was a statue.  More often than not they got a big kiss on their ankles from him and ended up with a new pair of sunglasses!  What a charmer.  Keep up the good work.

Tipton Eyeworks Cinematique and Vinylize Have Now Arrived !

Just recieved new frames and sunglasses from Tipton Eyeworks.  The small but totally ingenious eyewear design house out of Budapest, Hungary.  European quality made frames in very small batches and very hard to find.  We at Elegante' Eyewear are proud to be the only boutique carrying this line in the entire southeastern U.S.  Tipton Eyeworks produces two distinct collections.


                                        CINEMATIQUE

 Four plastic pieces from the Cinematique collection have just arrived.  Each frame features real 35mm film on the temples (or arms as they are some times called).  Three pieces specifically feature R-rated images! You may be saying 'what the...?' but let me tell you they're our #1 selling ladies frame.  The images are a bit difficult to see without a little work on the viewers part so we think it's a fun way (as do our clients) to be a little naughty but not overtly so.

VINYLIZE

New European styling, colorful laminated plastics (horn, flame red, flame green)  and real 7 inch vinyl records laminated on the front describes the new Vinylize sunglasses just in direct from Budapest.  Out of a world wide production run of just 600 frames each piece is individually numbered.   Each of the eleven models is named after a dead musician (Jackson, Sinatra, Joplin - Janis or Scott, you decide).  Very rare.  Wear your Rock 'n Roll attitude on your face.
